About CASA

Cayuga Counseling Services and the Children Affected by Substance Abuse Program (CASA) seek to enable all individuals to improve the quality of their lives and to promote emotional health and well-being, with a special emphasis of providing services to children, young adults, and families victimized by crimes related to substance abuse and the opioid epidemic.

What We Do

Cayuga Counseling Services, Inc., Children Affected by Substance Abuse program (CASA) was developed in 2018 as a response to the lack of specialized services for children affected by substance abuse in our community.

Cayuga Counseling Services, Inc., has developed and implemented a multidisciplinary coordinated response for children and youth up to age 18, as well as their non-offending primary caregivers, who have been victimized as a result of the opioid and/or other substance abuse crisis. The CASA program operates out of Cayuga County’s Child Advocacy Center and provides individual and group therapy, support and advocacy services, legal assistance, and education about addiction and its effects on the family.

All services are free and confidential and housed at the Child Advocacy Center, a child-friendly site providing services to children who have been victims of child abuse.
